Today I will talk about the latest iPhone 8/8 plus editions and also iPhone X which is may be Apple’s 10th anniversary edition. In this article I will show you the very in-depth look of these devices and how they are different from one another. If you guys are on the fence about whether or not it’s worth 300 to 400 extra dollars go for the iPhone X and in which way its better & in which way it’s worst I will cover that all in this article.
So the build, from the outside these both devices are pretty striking different; I mean iPhone 8 fits in the palm of the hand and 8 plus doesn’t and its feels not so comfortable any ways use if use with one hand, however iPhone 8 is one handed operational device moral less than the iPhone plus series. iPhone 8 is pretty close in size both devices feature very similar design with glass on the front and back. The Actual type of glass is the same on the both iPhone 8 and iPhone X. The glass on these latest devices is 50% harder than the older model iPhone 7 so that’s good in terms of durability.
iPhone 8/8plus and iPhone X do have the same technology when it comes to the display they both adjust the amnions of the display according to room temperature and give even look. Also they both are capable of the same brightness, even the iPhone X has the organic led display it is still capable of 625 nets as iPhone8/8 plus have. Both devices are splash resistant but definitely take them in to the pool expecting them to survive.
Both of these devices are still using ip67 water resistance, so that means three feet’s for thirty minutes not longer than this.
The processing power across all three of these devices is the same, these all have Apple A11 BIONIC processor but the iPhone 8 has the Giga byte less ram than the 8 plus and iPhone X. All these devices have 12 mp of camera only iPhone 8 plus and iPhone X has the portrait mode this is the improved version of existing one, you can adjust the backgrounds and main object sharpness etc.
All these devices have improved flash unit with a two times better uniformity when taking pictures in the dark with a flash so that’s good. Both the iPhone 8plus and iPhone X do have the aperture lighting mode. Surprising all these devices can do the 4K 60 frames per second and 1080p 240 frames per second. Now on the front of these device all three cameras do have image signal processor and background software suite although iPhone 8 can do the aperture mode on the front and emoji which is on the second and other devices cannot. These three devices are come with 64 to 256 GB of storage capacity and all of these three have wireless charging option, also they have fast chargers. On fast charging the device will be 50% charged in thirty minutes. So that’s was the similarities in all of three devices to give you the general idea of where they stand.
You will be thinking how are they different – So here are the differences
Let’s start from the exterior; the borders of the iPhone 8/8plus are different from iPhone X. iPhone X has stain less steel, the makers has made it with tougher metal and it will resist drops better, while on the other hand iPhone 8 has aluminum border which is much durable, if dropped it will only get a dent. The colors are also different; on the iPhone 8Plus you’re gonna get silver, space grey and the new gold color. iPhone X don’t have gold color you will only get silver or space grey option.
The Plus series is not so simple when it comes to use it with one hand and you really gonna stretch your thumb, while on iPhone 8 and iPhone X its too easy to control apps and use it with one hand. In iPhone 8 screen on the left when u swipe down you will see the notifications and on the right the control settings will appear and on plus you just have to swipe only once like an android device. iPhone X is the thickest in the bunch it is 7.7mm and iPhone 8plus is 7.5mm this is not a really big or bad difference may be the thickness of these devices is due to the battery and now I think Apple have given improved battery life in these new devices.
So back to the display on the iPhone 8 plus you will get 4K bezel less display top to bottom, edge to edge. The cut outs of the top sensor bar on the 8 plus is more conventional so nothing too exhausted but the actual display technology is different the organic led display on the iPhone X which means inflict contract ratio and colors of iPhone X is more vibrant, in general it has good display all around. Sharpness is 458 PPi. Both devices have 7mp of front facing camera. iPhone X is FACE ID capable device means it can scan your face and you can unlock your phone with this feature. You can also apply emoji’s on your face with this feature and try some cool little fun trick. iPhone X enables you to animate your desired emoji using your face. However iPhone 8/8plus is not capable of that facing stuff.
